At Calvary Chapel Solid Rock our desire is to teach the entire Word of God verse by verse in order to present the whole counsel of God and in its proper context.

Many are familiar with scriptures from the Bible, but they don’t understand the overarching message of the Bible. Because of this it’s possible to paint an inaccurate picture of who Jesus is and exactly why He came – more precisely, why He came for them.

We believe that in studying through the entire Bible verse by verse and looking at the scriptures in their proper context, we will be able to avoid the overemphasis of certain teachings which can lead to an unbalanced Christian walk. We believe going verse by verse and in context brings a healthy, maturing balance to the life of the Believer as we devote the same amount of time and emphasis to issues and topics as God does through His Word.

Jesus said in that the greatest commandment is this:

“‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’  This is the first and great commandment.  And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’  On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 22:37-40 (NKJV)

So how do we love the Lord this way? How do you love your neighbor as yourself? It seems important to Jesus that we know this. Fortunately, the Word of God teaches us. Read it for yourself and see just how applicable and life changing the Bible is.

. . . You are also more than welcome to join us at one of our services.

God bless!
