“Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” - Romans 6:3-4

What Is Water Baptism?
Water baptism is an outward expression of the inward transformation that takes place when a person places their faith in Jesus Christ. It is a public declaration of your commitment to follow Him and a symbol of your identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection (Romans 6:3-4). Baptism does not save you, but it is an important act of obedience for every believer.
Who Should Be Baptized?
Jesus commanded His followers to be baptized as part of making disciples (Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15-16). Throughout the New Testament, those who trusted in Christ were baptized as a public testimony of the new life they had received (Acts 2:41; Acts 8:12, 36-38). Baptism is an opportunity to joyfully proclaim your faith and identify with Jesus Christ before others.
Why Should I Be Baptized?
Baptism is for every person who has personally placed their faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. In Scripture, baptism consistently follows salvation, making it the next step of obedience for those who have been born again (Acts 2:41; Acts 8:12; Acts 18:8). If you have trusted Christ for salvation, baptism is a wonderful opportunity to publicly declare your faith.
Can Children Be Baptized?
Yes. We joyfully baptize children who have personally placed their faith in Jesus Christ and understand the meaning of salvation and baptism. We do not believe Scripture establishes a particular age for baptism; rather, throughout the New Testament, baptism follows a person’s response of faith in Jesus (Acts 2:41; Acts 8:12).
We encourage parents to talk with their child about their faith and help them understand that baptism is a public expression of their own decision to follow Jesus, not simply something they do because others are doing it. Our desire is not to place unnecessary barriers in front of children who genuinely want to follow Christ, but to make baptism a meaningful opportunity for discipleship as well as sincere expression of their new faith in Jesus.
