What Is Child Dedication?

Child dedication is a special time when parents publicly commit to raising their children according to God’s Word and praying that they will come to know Jesus Christ personally. It is also an opportunity for our church family to pray for and encourage parents in this important calling.

What Child Dedication Means

Child dedication is not baptism, nor does it save a child. Rather, it is a commitment by parents to faithfully teach their children about Jesus and model a Christ-centered home. We believe each child must one day make their own personal decision to follow Christ.
“Train up a child in the way he should go…” (Proverbs 22:6)
